Fountains of Wayne will be pulling the plug on its winter 2009 tour, literally. The pop rock group will perform acoustic sets through its 14-city travels, which begin early next year with a January 14 show at Walton Theater in Bellingham, WA, and continue through a March 1 set at Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA. Fountains of Wayne has several two-night stands booked beginning with a January 18-19 run at Café Du Nord in San Francisco, CA, followed immediately by January 21-22 sets at Largo in Los Angeles, CA, and ending with February 25-26 shows at Joe’s Pub in New York, NY. Other highlights of the trek include a January 16 gig at Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR, a January 24 concert at Anthology in San Diego, CA, and a February 28 show at the Paradise in Boston, MA.
